I have about half of a 50 mlb box left in my pantry. I have had it two years. Not made many cakes lately. Do you think I should get rid of it? I was not smart emough to know at the time to freeze it.
I have some about that old as well. I recently used some and it was fine. Passed the smell test and the taste test. It had not gone rancid. No one got ill either. I plan on keeping it until it shows signs of going bad. It has been stored in a cool area of our home.
