After I roll my colored fondant on a conf sugar suface, my cake looks dusty (esp darker colors). What should I be using instead? Or how do I 'clean this up'? Help!!
Rub a little shortening on it and it will absorbe the PS
I actually roll the fondant out on a vinyl mat with a small amount of shortning on it. Works like a charm, no dusty marks, and satiny smooth fondant finish every time.
I too, roll it out on the mat with a small coating of shortening.
