I just started at my grocery store bakery job a couple weeks ago. Feels good to be getting back into it, even if it's just at a grocery store.

Anyways, the turntables there are sticky. As in, when you spin them, they spin fine at first but then get a little bumpy. If that makes any sense. They still spin, but it's like it's catching on something.

Has anyone encountered this and can you tell me how to fix it? Also, several of them won't spin at all! They are the expensive iron ones so I would rather fix them then just replace them. Not that I'm paying for it at all, but it's all about controlling expenses right?

If anyone can give me any clues on what to do that would be great!

If you can get a hold of some food safe silicone spray(ck in the deli department they may have it for their slicers, if not ask maintenance personal) and if you can spray up under where the ball bearings are you might be able to fix the problem
