I have two of them, both silver plate. One is used for Megan's wedding cake and the other is used in the Towering Inferno cake (both in my pix.) The one used for the Towering Inferno cake is starting to tarnish something fierce -- how do I clean it and store it properly? Any thoughts?

You could try a baking soda paste with toothbrush, or toothpaste. Silver plate is accually harder to clean than silver. Keep in mind that if you place flowers on the plateau, the flowers contain acid in them and sometimes the acid in the flowers reacts with the percentage of copper in the silver plate and this causes the brown discoloration. Also, dishwasher detergent is not good for silver plate or silver either. Hope this helps some.
