This may be a really dumb question, however. Did any one see that episode of cake challenge where the guy did a Spongebob cake and his flavor was Gauva? Well, if his cake was Gauva and his filling was Gauva what did he ice the cake with under the fondant? I can't image buttercream going very well with Gauva.
i dont know, i imagine guava bc would probably be nice, you get other fruity bc that is great, id at least give it a shot. vanilla bc really goes with everything any way, so if he used that, i imagine it would still be a good idea.
I think he said it was guava flavored buttercream. I've made guava-passionfruit buttercream before. It was divine! I used it to ice a mango-filled white ginger cake (it's the sushi cake in my photos). One of the best flavor combos I've created.
