Is there a tutorial or instructions out there some where on how to make a 3-d car cake? I need to create a 1967 Chevelle. Have some ideas on how to accomplish this but "tried and true" instructions would be nice to have.

Mike McCarey of Mike's Amazing Cakes has a Cakenology DVD that takes you the whole way through the process of making a 3D car cake to scale. It's really great! If you have the time to order it and wait for it to come I highly recommend it.

I second that opinion - the car DVD that Mike puts out is the best! We watched it and used the method ever since, including on the Ultimate Cake Off.

You can get it from his website. Just google Mike's Amazing Cakes and it should come up.
