I am sponsoring an a charity event a family member is doing and decided to help her out with raising money for unicef, how much would u suggest going towards the charity ? Like 10% discount and 10% thereafter goes to the charity? What do you think?

when I donate to charity I DONATE TO THE CHARITY I give them the cake at a rate of a 100% cake! If you don't want to do that, then offer them a gift certificate....I mean with cake you're not going to be out $100 if you offer a $100 gift'll probably be out more like $20 and a few hours of your time.

I'm sorry, but I don't even understand the original question.

if it's for charity wouldn't you donate the cake or a gift certificate??
10% - so your saying someone has to pay you to make the cakes for the charity and you'll donate 10% to said charity?
I don't think thats what charity is. IMO

I've donated to charity = Free
I've participated in fairs where I sell my own goods and give 10 % of the price my customers pay to charity.

oh wait, are you saying that you're going to give 10% off every cake order plus an additional 10% of said cake order to Unicef for all orders that come into your business???

That makes sense then! I think just giving Unicef the full 20% profit from each order, is very generous if that's what you intend to do.

For instance..........20% of all orders will be given to Unicef when orders are placed between April 15,2010 and June 30, 2010........something like that??

If so, then that makes sense
