I am making a large sheet cake this week end for a customer who wants white cake with cream cheese icing. Sound like a bad idea to me. Its one of 4 cakes I'm making for an open house. The others cakes are Chocolate with chololate sour cream icing. I have never made CSC icing but found a recipe on CC. I'm hoping it works well for frosting and decorating. anyone have a great choc. sour cream recipe they would recommend.
Personally, I would not sell any cake or icing that was not something already part of my repetoire. Trying something new for the first time on an order is almost always a recipe for disaster.
