Hi all,

I was absent for some time BUT now I'm back and finally want to open my own home bakery in California. We are moving shortly and I would love to be ready to go before we move there.

I already tried to find some information online but without great success. I'm from Germany, too so maybe my not-so-perfect english is not helping : )

But maybe you can help me with some understandable information.

Thanks, Schabenmaul

It is my understanding that home bakeries are not permitted in CA.

Welcome, sorry Schabenmaul but CA is one of those states that doesnt allow this and from what I've read from others who live there CA isn't very forgiving about breaking this rule. Nope not saying that you would or even thought of it just adding more info.

Good luck in your move.

Not possible. Good luck with the move. You'll need to find a commercial kitchen, there are lots of threads about it here. There are kitchen rentals, church kitchens, restaurants etc that might let you rent.
