Checkerboard Pattern - No Imprint Mat??..

need a checkerboard pattern on cake... want something easy or something i can reuse.. any ideas?

Just cut different color squares and arrange them in a checkerboard pattern.

Depending on how big you want the squares you could try a cooling rack possibly? Or just cut out a square template in heavy card stock or cardboard and use that to make your pattern. Good luck.
