I just use daps of corn syrup to secure. I measure the ribbon around cake, pull slightly snug. Then I secure the one end with syrup and put tiny dots around on the fondant and pull the ribbon around. I cut the ribbon at a slant and secure the send end to the other. hth

Please be more specific in your questions and needs. If you are just putting ribbon on a fondant cake tier, just measure your tier size, round, square etc. and then measure your ribbon and lay it around the tier and keeping a slight tension on it as you go around until you meet the begining of where you started ( which should be the back of your decorated cake) and attach with royal icing or buttercream only at these points. Ribbon should stay in place. I've never had a problem with this staying and holding. I hope I got the question right. ? icon_rolleyes.gif

I use double sided tape at the connecting point.
