I have an order of a couple that didn't have a wedding cake at there wedding. There family would like to give them a wedding cake for there anniversary. They would like for me to do one in the style that was popular then. I am just looking for ideas.

Thanks
Karla

i would say. buttercream icing. not fondant. lots of buttercream swags. or ruffles some people call them. b/c roses . you could put the roses in the middle of the cakes too. make a mound and cluster them together. put smaller roses or rosebuds in between where the swags meet. then your shell borders. they also used the pearls (not the edible kind) . the ruffle doily is also used. hello? does this sound 60 ish enough.lol people are still doing this today. especially for anniversary cakes.

What about using the staircases and the colored fountain?
