Hi,

I'm preparing the cake for a friend's bridal shower. I want to make her a wedding dress cake, but I'd like to make the wedding dress form out of RKT and then place it on a sheet cake (which would be served to the guests).

I have the Wilton dress pan but I've never done RKT work before. Do you think I could use the pan to shape the RKT? Would I have trouble getting it out? Any other suggestions for how to do this?

Thanks!!

definitely the best way to do it would be to put the RKT in the pan. I use the homemade pan grease (equal parts of oil, veg oil (shortening), and flour) to grease the whole pan and then put the warm RKT in the pan. Let cool for about 45-60 mins and then turn the pan over so the treats come out.

If they are still to soft to hold the shape on their own I just put the pan back over the RKT for another 1-2 hrs (at least they have released from the pan though at least once.)

HTH
