Well, i get a lot of requests for cakes with perishable fillings like mousse and creams, i bake from scratch although i havent found my perfect recipe for vanilla cake and use WASC doctored recipe. I am in search of a similar recipe.
Chocolate cake [i will be posting it soon], i make my own and turns out pretty well. But when it is in fridge it gets dry primarily because it has butter in it.
I am looking for a recipe that has oil and is moist and delicious and firm and stay well in fridge. not hard or dry. any help, pointers,experiences, recipes???
cake just doesnt do well in the fridge. the key thing is to make sure it is well sealed, either by the icing, or wrapped or in a box.
i love a victoria sponge, but i dont refridgerate it, but generally its pretty hardy.
