when I am dealing with tiers does anyone have issues with deciding what size tiers to use that will be the best?
I use the wilton chart- but I never seem to know right off the bat if someone needs 50 servings or 150 the size or combination of tiers. does that make sense? does anyone have any tips or guidelines they go by?

thanks!

somewhere on wilton there is a guide to comon sizes and arrangements, can be quite handy. but theres nothing wrong with saying you need to check and will get back to them icon_smile.gif

Wow....what a find...the Wilton cake guide.....it no only shows you servings per cake . but give you a visual of different cake setups and proportions..... I often use box mixes....sometime doctored, sometimes not.....but I find one cake mix per 20 people if the people are cutting the cake themselves and 25 if a cater is cutting..they seem to cut smaller portions.....
