I just love the mini cakes that seem to be made from 2" in diameter round & square. I have seen so many of them, but can't seem to find out what pans & sizes everyone is using and I would love to be able to try doing this size cake. If someone could please tell me where to get these pans & the sizes I would be so grateful. Thanks much~~~
for mini cakes I don't use a mini pan but instead I cut the cake size I need from a larger cake, I usually need multiples. For round ones I use a round cutter with a handle. hth
Forgot to add that if you freeze the cake before cutting it you minimize any crumb situation and you can manipulate then easier. I don't even have to crumb coat, just ice with my icing tip or pour ganache over them.
