Hi all,

I have been asked to do the 10th anniversary cake for my hairdresser's salon. It is very upscale and trendy, always tons of fresh flowers at all of the stations, etc.

Anyway, they want a cake for approx 50 and want it over the top with bright bold colours and gumpaste flowers. Budget is not an option. They want to coordinate the salon's flowers to the cake for the anniversary party so they need to be realistic rather than whimsy.

I have been pouring over pictures looking for an idea to run with, but everything looks either too wedding-ish or like a birthday cake.

Any suggestions?

TIA

What about using sugar tiles somehow? Maybe cover your cakes with square tiles and then lay some gumpaste flowers on top like a casual bouquet.
