hi CC'ers,

I have a 16x16 cake to make on Saturday and don't have a big enough cooling rack to turn it out on. Can i just leave it in the pan to cool? I will be carving a baby onesie out of it.

Thanks much.....

What about two racks side by side? maybe wire them together? Do you have a clean cutting board? Or a matt big enough? No real answers for you but you do need to get it out of the pan.

I always put paper towel down on the rack when I cool my cakes,so I don't have to wash stuck-on cake off the rack. So with that in mind, how about using your oven rack, set on 4 soup cans? Just be sure to take one of the racks out before you heat the oven.

I always flip my cakes out on my counter with freezer paper on them. I flip them top side down since I always have to level them anyway and have never had a problem. HTH
