Criminy... could you even make it for $100? You'd probably have to buy the black fondant, and if you didn't already have those flower cutters, then that would be another $20 at least, not to mention the cost of the cake ingredients.

If you assume a 6-8-10, that's 74 servings, so she wants a fondant covered cake for $1.35/serving. If she doesn't already have a friend to do it, I honestly can't imagine someone agreeing to make it for that small of a price.

Yep, no kidding! I felt soooo tempted to email with a little 'education', but refrained. Look out for something resembling that on Cake Wrecks in the near future.

Sagebrush, I actually did a little math and decided I couldn't make it for that, let alone cover my time.

I really, really wish I could see what they end up with...

the audacity.

We paid for our wedding and couldn't afford a nice cake, so ya know what we did? WE GOT A CHEAP ONE!!! two tiered and a sheet.

I would TOTALLY take that order............it would be a 3",4",5" round cake for $100 exactly as shown (total height about 6" and it would feed about 10) lol

Hmmm...I laughed also and like Tubbs just about emailed to basically tell them they were dreaming!!! But..I refrained!!...Someone trying to have a Champagne wedding on a beer budget!!
