Hi, I am making a wedding cake with a large styrofoam decoration that is to be covered in fondant/gumpaste and painted. The wedding is a week from Saturday. I need to do this part as early as I can get away with, but I don't know how early that is?

I think you can do it now... just make sure you store it where it won't get "dusty" and if it's a color that will fade, keep it out of the sun...

Meh, you could have done it a couple of weeks ago.

Starting it early will be a weight off my mind. I'll keep it protected for sure, I don't want to have to redo it!
