I made a cake and overed it in fondant. I then made a few other peices out of only cake. I wanted to attached the small cake to the other cake but it keeps coming off. The small cakes are pushed on the sides of the larger cake. I used buttercream to hold the cake to the outside of the fondat and it just dries up and falls right off.
How and what to do? (PS- Don't really want to do toothpicks)
Try royal icing..you may have to use a small dowel or toothpick anyway...depends on how heavy the little ones are. Good luck!
