I've been decorating for my kids too long and all that comes to mind are balloons! I'm throwing a surprise party for a very dear friend at her house so I don't have a lot of time to decorate but I would like to do something special. I'm going with a butterfly theme and she is from Russia and she's a very glitzy lady! Does anyone have any ideas that are classy yet still festive?

Hmm...well you've certainly given me some new directions Doug! Thanks for your ideas! I really wanted to do a Faberge egg for her cake but I chickened out and am going with something very safe - way too many other things to get ready for the party icon_sad.gif

btw...I get depressed when I listen to Laura's Theme so I think I'll pass on that one icon_smile.gif

Do you have access to old pictures of her? For my grandmother's 80th birthday we gathered up lots of frames and pictures and had them scattered around the party. We had her high school graduation, her and an old boyfriend, a wedding picture....
