I live in Canada & my inlaws just went to florida on holidays, when they came back they brought us a huge bag of oranges... WE like oranges but we have a lot icon_eek.gif They will be having the family over for Dinner next weekend & coincidently it's my DH birthday, does anyone have any good recipes or ideas on how I can use up some of theses oranges? Nto sure if I should use it in the cake or bc or just make another deerst with it...
Any ideas would help;o)

You can just add the zest to the batter of the cake, and the juice to the bc.
I have a recipe somewhere for whole orange cake - try google.

I'd be thinking orange sherbert or ice cream - displayed in the skin of the orange.

Duck in orange sauce! Don't know how much orange that needs tho!

If you can't use all the oranges squeeze the juice out & freeze it in smaller baggies so that you have it to use at your convienence....

I use 2 large oranges for Duck a La Orange because I like lots of sauce.
Also try Chinese Orange Chicken!!
Orange Sobert is a great idea :0)
& Orange Marmalade too!

Ohooooo!!
Don't forget Orange pastry cream, Orange cookie dough, Orange flavored pancakes/waffles, & Crepes Suzette!!!
Orange custards, Orange tarts, Orange Macaroons, Orange Chiffon cake,
You can also make Orange Tulie, & Orange Cheesecakes :0)
& I put lemon zest in my pie dough & I know you can do it for orange zest too, then freeze till you need it...

I am pretty sure you can probaly make an Orange Vinegar too :0)
& least we not forget the drinks which is an endless list!!

I know the pastry chef in me is going crazy, once my brain gets on a track it doesn't get off :0)

I have a friend who always brings me bags of grapefruits. I stumbled upon this recipe for grapefruit pie that has turned into one of my favorite desserts, and a really easy way to use up citrus fruit. I bet it would be just as delicious with oranges.
