I am searching for a good "crusting" buttercream recipe. Can anyone help me?

Indydebii's buttercream. You can find it in the "most saved" section in receipes.

Yes, indydebi's recipe. I just tried it last week for the first time with cheescake flavouring...mmmmmmmm

Sugarshack's BC crusts well too. The recipe is on this site.

I love Sugarshack's receipe as well but not everyone has a 6qt. mixer.

Thanks! I printed out Indydebi's recipe. Just one more question. It says 2 lbs powdered sugar. How many cups is that? Sorry to sound so dumb.

I think that 2 pounds ps is about 7-8 cups. I always open a new two pound bag when I make it so I never have to measure. ALWAYS sift the powderd sugar. It does make a difference!

Roughly 8 cups or you can always do what I do and just buy a 2 lb bag or use two of the 1 lb Domino's 10 x sugar boxes. I hate measuring powdered sugar. icon_smile.gif
