Grasshopper Cake?

I've gotten a request for a grasshopper cake (grasshopper as in insect, not type of dessert). icon_smile.gif I have no idea where to even begin for an idea?? Can anyone help me out with this??

You could do an outdoor theme with grass, etc and then make some grasshoppers out of fondant to put on top and around the base. Or you could do a tree stump cake with grasshoppers on and around it. I would think it might be difficult to do a 3D grasshopper cake, but maybe someone else has an idea how to do that. HTH! Post a picture of what you come up with! icon_biggrin.gif

Do you have any more info? Why a grasshopper? If you don't want to go 3D, you could do a FBCT of a cute grasshopper image:

I'm not sure exactly why thay want a grasshopper cake. Apparently the mom asked her child (who will be turning 4) what kind of cake he would like and he said a grasshopper. Thanks for your suggestions ladies!
