Geez, last week I had one, 4-Tier wedding cake and two, single tier party cakes.

This week? One, 1 tier party cake, and 5 wedding cakes totaling 23 tiers. That's right, 48 layers. I'm bakin', bakin' bakin'. (Said like the dog in the bacon snack commercial.)

Following week? nuthin'

Feast or famine, I tell ya.

It's crazy how unpredictable it is. For me, there were weekends in April that booked up a year ago, and some in the "busy" wedding season that are still open, Makes no sense. Have fun with the baking, ha ha ha!

I did some baking this afternoon too, for next weekend. Just one cake, but 3 tiers. My phone has been a little quiet too, but Easter weekend and then we have a festival in our small town next weekend, so most people take their kids to that.

I'm kind of glad, for the little break, but May is shaping up to be pretty busy for me!

one cake last week, nothing this week but the rest of april i am slammed. i have personally had to turn down 7 orders alone for 4/17 which was booked last year with two weddings and a grooms cake (my personal limit). last year i was busy in may but not this year. just how it goes.

I'm sympathetic but envious - my April is looking rather empty. Just a novelty cake in the shape of a pair of dentures booked in for next week. Hey ho - perhaps I'll get some last minute orders. Plenty of time to catch up on the busines end of things I suppose!

Good luck with your busy week. icon_smile.gif

eesh. and I thought my load was bad this week- 10 big orders and a wedding. They all want crazy over the top stuff though, so its gonna feel like more. How many weddings do you limit yourself to Leahs?
