Hello All,

I will be making a wedding cake for my sons wedding in September and was wondering if there are any "rules" as to what kind of flowers go on a cake that time of year...We love the look of Hydrangeas, Tulips, Roses, Lilies and Ochids and were going to use a mixture of all. However when my future daughter in law consulted a florist, she kind of put the damper on the tulips....then I began to think that maybe there are flowers for spring (all of the above) and flowers that should be used for fall.. the colors if the wedding are (main) deep purple-mauve
with fuschia and chartreuse...

Open to any and all suggestions...

Thanks!

Shirley G

The cake flowers should match the flowers that the bride carries. At least that's the way I always do it.
