I like to make cakes from scratch, and I will like to know what kind of butter you guys use to make your cakes or which is the best available?
I buy store brand butter in bulk at BJ's Wholesale club (similar to Costco/Sam's Club).
Thanks for the replies!!!! @KKC do you use Land O Lakes sweet or the one that is lightly salted?
I use Land O'Lakes most of the time, however for the holidays when I am baking a ton I use the bulk butter at Sam's. I can't say that I have noticed a big difference.
I use Wal-Mart's brand (unsalted). It's good quaility and I never pay more than $1.50 a pound because I also only buy when it's on sale. It's on sale at our Wal-Mart this week and so is DH cake mix for .98 cents. I've stocked up on both.

Ditto, unsalted for most cakes.
