My father-in-law has requested a lemon flavored cake. Can someone please tell me what type of icing tastes good with this? Thanks so much for your help, I've never made a lemon cake before.

I use a vanilla buttercream, but you could also add in a little lemon curd to give it some zing.

If you need a recipe, check out the AMAZING Lemon Cake recipe on CC. It's fantastic!

Butter cream with Lemon extract. icon_smile.gif

Yummy fillings with lemon are blueberry or raspberry.

I have done a raspberry/lemon BC with a fresh raspberry filling a number of times, and it is *really* yummy!!

I know it's too late, but I LOVE lemon cake with cream cheese icing. It tastes like the lemon pound cakes from Starbucks
