I am making cupcakes for my son's playgroup for April Fool's Day, and found some cute ideas in the Hello, Cupcake! book, but wondered about other ideas...I want the joke to be that the cupcakes look very...well, un-cupcakeish.

Anyone have any good resources for April Fool's Day cupcakes, other than Hello, Cupcake! and the follow up book?

Thanks in advance!

I think you're on the right track with Hello Cupcake. I think those food look-alikes are a great idea like chicken drumsticks, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, etc,

have you looked in the cupcake gallery? I just took a look on the first couple of pages and came up with this one.

Spaghetti and meatballs

Otherwise i know there is always hamburgers, i've seen popcorn boxes (with the popcorn being marshmallows). Can't think of any other ones right now... but i would definitely check out the cupcake gallery.
