I am doing a cake for my 10 year old daughter and want to do the #10 standing up on the cake. How do I get those #s to stand up?? This is my 1st experience with MMF so I am winging it!
Thanks

Cut the number out and let it dry for a few days..turning it so each side can dry.Once dry I use a bit of RI and glue a wooden skewer that has been cut to size on the back.Just poke the humber in the top of the cake .

The MMF has to be quite thick to hold the shape when dried...not thin...

Rolled numbers work perfectly for this. Just roll out MMF snakes (mix the MMF with some tylose first to help it dry quickly) and form the numbers from the snakes. Now take toothpicks and insert them into the number one and into the sides of the zero. Let dry for several days till hard then you can just insert them into the cake!
