I have a bride that wants a topper similar to this one. Anyone have any ideas on how it was made?

I don't know how it's made, but it is adorable.
Probably gumpaste. It says in the description that the cake is 6, 8 and 10 inches so that topper isn't really that big, it's just tall.
could be gumpaste... could be with a mold also... not sure... it's very cute...
here is a cute lil' mold.......not exactly the same, but if you're not up to modelling them yourself, it's an option........I'm betting you could bend the trunks together after you mold it?
thanks for the link to that mold! that might help a lot. I was originaly thinking it might be white chocolate and maybe trying to make it out of candy clay?
I would probably go for gumpaste or a 50/50 mix of fondant and gumpaste!
I ended up making the topper out of gumpaste, pics are in my gallery!
You did a great job. I wouldn't have been able to make one myself. My neighbors collects elephants and told me that it is bad luck if the elephants trunks are down. So much that when her family brings them to her she throws them away. No she has me paranoid about bad luck. I don't need anymore bad luck I have had enough this year. LOL.
