I'm covering 3 layers of foam core with MMF.

How far in advance can I cover it knowing it's a large
board and I will have to make a whole batch of MMF
just for the base?

I also will be covering the edges with a grograin ribbon.
Any surefire way to attach it?

Thank you!

Hot glue the ribbon and you can cover the boards when ever you like, i like to cover them plenty early so that the fondant has time to set up and get hard i leave much less of a mess this way.

I always use double-sided tape to attach the ribbon and it works great.

tracyl, that dog in your avatar is the cutest thing ever! What kind is it?

Re: fondant, I cover my boards a week or so in advance just so I don't have to worry about it and it gets nice and hard. I have never attached ribbon to a board so I can't speak to that!
