Help With Where/how To Add Initials ??

I am making a small wedding cake 10" 8" 6" for sunday and the designed I am making is basically only up the front and the top of the cake. I would like to incorporate the first initial of the couples new last name, but I don't know where I could place it so it will blend.Could I really put on the sides of the cake or is that just too weird?? Any pic's or suggestions will be appreciated, Thanks Andrea
