I'm going to bake a cake for my friend's birthday party. It will be a red velvet cake, probably with cream cheese frosting; covered with fondant.
Party is coming Saturday. I want to bake today; and frost/decorate on Friday. Will it be OK? I'm afraid the cake my taste a bit stale.

I would bake, fill and frost today. Leave in refirgerator overnight and then cover with fondant and decorate tomorrow. The cake will be fine.
