How do I calculate servings for a topsy turvy cake? Or a sculpted cake? They are not the standard shape...

HOw about trying to find a guide that gives you the servings by cups of batter instead of pan size shape?

Thanks for the advice, but I think it still might not be accurate. I am thinking because you trim away the angles, and are left with the odd shapes that it is still going to be difficult to guesstimate.

I am thinking, if I need to throw another tier in, and call it good. The lost parts I trim away then, will be made up with a top tier. Is this a good idea, or is this TOO MUCH cake?
