Question...a client wants 5 lemon pound cakes...how much would you charge?
$240-$300 ($40-$60/cake), assuming undecorated bundt.
1) Figure mixing/baking/packaging time and multiply the "time" by what you would like to make per hour.
2) Then add up the cost of your ingredients and other supplies (plus an upcharge).
Then add the two figures together= Cost Of Job
I charge per slice so you'd have to know how many slices per cake she was hoping to get. Is it a bundt pan size, if so what size bundt pan, is it a loaf pan size??? A basic cake like that with a simple glaze on it would be $2 a slice. 10 slices loaf pan, 20 slices small bundt pan, 40 slices large bundt pan...or $20, $40, or $80 depending on the servings.
