I am making a wedding cake and need to know how to cut it, i found diagrams online but none are really answering my question. When you cut the cake do you remove the dowels? how do you do that..etc I appreciate any help.

Thank You.

Yes, you remove the dowels. The best thing to do is to disassemble the cake and then start cutting the bottom tier first. Indydebi's method of cutting in straight rows, not circles is the best method. Sorry, I don't have a link to her diagram, hopefully someone who does will see this thread and post it. If not, you could PM her and request the link. HTH!

Indy's website is www.cateritsimple.com and the diagram is there. It's the easiest way to cut a cake.
