Shortbread is more expensive to make because of all the butter.
How much is reasonable to charge for these? I need to make 4 dozen of them.. Also, need your best shortbread recipes and number of cookies each recipe makes.....

This is a recipe I got some time ago from Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa)
3/4 lb unsalted butter -room temp
1 c sugar
1 t pure vanilla extract
3.5 c A.P. flour
1/4 t Kosher salt
*Bake at 350 for 25 min. Yield-24 (3 in. Cookies)
Standard mixing procedures apply
This recipe has always worked well for me. The only thing I changed was adding 1T vanilla instead of 1t because I want to be able to taste it through the fondant or RI.

Anyone else out there with help on the pricing for theses 4" Round Shortbread Cookies, with a monogram and a bead border. Not packaged......
Will be trying the MMF cutout topper recommeded in another thread. Sounds great and NO spreading RI with a spatula. Whew....
