Has anyone ever paired either pineapple or bananas with strawberries inside layers of cake? I know i'm going to do strawberries, but I'm not sure if bananas would get discolored or if pineapple would be to watery or even taste good.... The filling is going to be cream cheese/whipping cream like so I'm not sure how that would taste as well. If anyone has any recommendations or advice it'd be much appreciated! TIA
YUMMY.. it sounds like a banana split cake !!! make sure you use some lemon juice to toss the bananas in to keep from turning brown. And I am thinking..i read somewhere that you shouldnt use fresh pineapple..i'll go look around and see if I cant find a link to that info for you.
