icon_smile.gif I am learning how to make gumpaste flowers from a Nicholas Lodge DVD, love it!! He does not tell you how to attach them to a fondant cake. Do you actually stick the whole wire into the cake?? This just doesn't sound right to me!! Thanks for your help!!

You can actually wire an arrangement of flowers together and then set on the cake. You can snip the wires off and attach to the cake with piping gel or royal icing. You can also arange the wires into a ball of fondant and set on the cake. If you do feel the need to place flowers by inserting wires in the cake please use a drinking straw first - place the straw in the cake, squirt a little royal icing into the straw and insert wires into the straw and arrange. I hope that helps!
