These are the first two roses I have ever made. What do you all think? Any suggestions?

are they buttercream?? If so, they look wonderful!! I recommend that you add about a tsp. of corn syrup or piping gel to every cup of icing though

That will alleviate the "torn edge" look to them and make your icing come out a lot smoother without affecting the thickness of it too much.

You're WAY better than I was with my first roses.......even my first 100 roses!!

If those are your first two roses - that's amazing. They look really good! I used to teach Wilton classes - and hated rose day! I still don't think I make good roses! LOL

Good job!

Really?? OMG I am so excited! Those are in fact my very first roses ever and they are butter cream. Thanks for the corn syrup tip. I still have some icing in the fridge and I will try it again later :0)
