Or do you have to use the special colors for chocolate? Since the corn syrup causes the chocolate to seize, does that mean I can use the regular gel colors in this situation?

Thanks!!!

I just took classes with both Mike McCarey (2 days of modeling chocolate) and Lauren Kitchens (Muppets). They both use regular gel colors with their modeling chocolate, but you cannot use them with the chocolate by itself. For bold or dark colors, Mike uses powder colors.

I have been using gel colors, but it was nice to hear from the experts that they use them as well!

Thanks for the tips everyone! Good to know I don't have to run out and buy a whole new set of colors!
