I have looked and looked on here, So I am sorry if posting something that's been done.
But my question is Will this Whipped Cream Frosting crust?
1 cup whipping cream
dash of salt
Rounded 1/3 cup flour, sifted
1 cup butter, soft
1 cup sifted confectioner's sugar Or 2 for a stiffer frosting
2 tsp. vanilla
Mix cream, flour and salt until lumps are dissolved. Cook over med. heat while stirring constantly w/ wooden spoon. Cook until think and it forms a paste like ball which pulls away from the sides of pan easily. Allow to cool, then whip. Add butter, whip together. add sugar, continue whipping. Add vanilla and beat well.

This taste very close to the whipped frosting they use at Winn Dixie, and is very good.. But I wanted to use it for a cake this weekend, but wasn't sure if it would crust...
Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated!

You can smooth the whipped topping. You just need to use a hot spatula.
