I am making a baby shower cake and am looking for a frosting recipe that is not as sweet as buttercream, but one that you can decorate. I was at a wedding recently and the cake was frosted with whipped cream, but it looking like fondant. Does anyone have any suggestions on something that will stand up to decorations, but is not as hard as fondant?
Thanks
Kathy

Rich's Bettercreme, sold in liquid form and you whip it like cream but it's good for decorations and icing the cake, tastes like slightly sweetened whipped cream and is good (once whipped) at room temp. for up to 5 days!
