How about red, mixed with just a bit of electric pink?

The red of a watermelon is muted (desaturated/dulled) compared to true red. To mute a color, you add the weensiest bit of the opposite color on the color wheel, in this case that would be green. So add a teensy touch of green (and I really mean teensy) to your red and then add this to white frosting/fondant to get the muted pink of watermelon.

I always knew I was "color-challenged." I see watermelon as a more vibrant red, not muted. Thanks for your input, artscallion! thumbs_up.gif
