I'm doing a wishing well next month. how do i to the roof? do i cover cardboard in fondant? the cake itself will be and 8inch round and the roof will pretty well cover. and how do i mount the roof to my pillars. I was planning on using the wilton pillars. any rec's for what i can use that I wouldn't need the customer to get back to me would be great too.

also, i haven't decided if i'm making a 2 layer or 3 layer(4 or 6inch) cake. what does an 8inch x3 layers generally serve for a party

thanks

I would use rice krispy treats to form the roof. You could even make the pillars from RKT too. I think that would serve about 20 people.
