Rice Crispy Treats??

I have notice a lot of mention of rice crispy treats on cc. I have no idea what they are? Is this something that is made or bought? are they common use in australia?

They are a product made out of Rice Krispies Cereal, butter, melted marshmallows (& flavoring if desired).

Melt the butter add marshmallows, melt together. Add Rice Krispies.
Place on butter lined sheet pan press down, use wax paper to press with,
(I like to score them here for easier cutting later) & let sit (or eat right away.. YUM!) You can put in fridge or freeze or covered at room temp (up to 4 days). :0)

The ones everyone refers to for cakes is mostly a store bought product by Kellogg. These are great for molding to most any shape desired & holding up. :0)
