I am very new to cake decorating and I have a few questions about fondant. I haven't made my own yet, I have only used store bought so far. I'm wanting to know...how long will it stay good and how should it be stored? Refrigerator, air tight container in pantry?? I have heard that it has up to a year shelf life...is that right? Thanks so much in advance for the help!!

It may depend on the brand of fondant but Satin Ice is 6 months at room temp. If you make your own (Michelle Foster's recipe) it can be frozen and thawed repeatedly.
