Hey guys I am doing a red lips cake covered in red fondant and I brought some red disco dust to go on the lips. I want it to look like re sparkle lips ( kind of like the wizard of oz ruby slippers effect). I have never used disco dust what would be the best way to get this effect??? any help is appreciated the cake is for this weekend. TIA icon_biggrin.gif

Disco Dust instructions say to add them to icing that is wet so maybe if you steam the "lips" first and then add the dust? That may help it adhere better. Good luck, can't wait to see it!

I brushed egg whites onto the surface of this fondant covered cake and then sprinkled the disco dust. the egg whites sealed it onto the cake so that it couldn't just blow off or even be rubbed off. Hope that makes sense
